In the wake of the aforementioned fantasy blockbusters, it's fairly obvious to anyone with half a brain that US audiences quite like their fantasy epics served up with British accents. ![]() Keanu Reeves, perhaps, or if we were really unlucky one of the lesser Baldwins. Bryan Singer's Jack the Giant Slayer (previously known as Jack the Giant Killer) is the kind of movie that even 15 years ago would have had some swaggering Hollywood A-lister parachuted into the lead, complete with incongruous accent and LA swagger. How wonderful it is to be a British actor in this post- Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter era.
